PARER PHOTOGRAPHY

"HOME" EXHIBITION

NOW OPEN FOR VIEWING
EVERY SATURDAY: 10am till 2pm
FROM 30 Oct till 5 Dec 2010
AT: 20 WHITINGTON ST, FRANKLIN

"HOME" Officially opened by Hilary Wardhaugh: 28 Oct 2010

My "Home" exhibition officially opening last Thursday night at 20 Whitington St Franklin. Hilary Wardhaugh gave a few words and opened the exhibition with 30 quests at Jigsaw's 8 star rated sustainable home.  The exhibition is open for viewing between 10am and 2pm every Saturday till the 5 December.

All images in this exhibition have been printed and stretched onto canvas and hung throughout a 3 bedroom  new home. I have used diverse imagery depicting the theme of 'home'. Within each of the three bedrooms I  photographed individual families and created a pictorial canvas montage of what their home is them. Then throughout the main living areas I chose imagery people said they would hang in their homes, including Australian flora and fauna.

This is a very colourful exhibition, so if you are interested in what a 8 star sustainable house has to offer plus interested in viewing a unique photographic exhibition on the concept of 'home' - in a home, then you will surely not be disappointed.

Here are a few images from a very enjoyable and fun exhibition opening:

 A sea of tulips

A guest viewing a mosaic of imagery (in the main bedroom) from one of the families I photographed

Jennifer (friend) and Maddy from PPR

Colin and Alice (not in picture) were one family I photographed. Colin visited the exhibition with friend Gwen, and myself

There's been a few jobs on the last few months so hence the lack of time to update my blog. But here we are, here are a few of my favorite images I've taken recently.
I have met some wonderful people and families over the past few weeks and just love making people happy with the end product of images they receive.
Here is Stephanie's family taking a beautiful morning stroll along Lake Burly Griffin, one foggy Canberra autumn morning.

I managed to capture one of the twins running to scare the seagulls and ducks...just beautiful.
Here are both the twins watching after the big run to scare all the birds away.

This image has such a fairytale feel to it...

Here's my roo reflection...

the black and white image works well also.

This is a picture with context. The view from The Bushranger Hotel in Collector NSW.

Pumpkin wheelbarrow races at the Pumpkin Festival, Collector.

A lovely portrait of a student playing the flute.

Autumn is well and truly here and I've been busy photographing numerous children portraits and family portraits, the images below are Kylie's in Yarralumla.
The family portrait gift was a present from Kylie to her mother for Christmas and what a great gift it was. The whole family (immediate, partners and grandchildren) had an outing to the park and enjoyed the family centered photography session in the crisp sunny autumn air.

I am in the midst of preparing for the autumn and winter seasons. The light and colours are magnificent over this time and perfect for capturing great shots. Hope you enjoy these few images of Kylie's family.

The Wedding Guide Expo went very well, with a lot of interest, so looking forward to capturing some wonderful weddings.

Till next week, enjoy all the rain!

Happy 2010!!

Over the festive break I was kept busy with a few family portraits...I just love this one above of the four brothers and sisters....and Mick kept me busy photographing all 27 members of his family in early December.
